Review of SuperReturn International 2010 that took place in February 2010

What Made SuperReturn International's 13th Annual Private Equity & Venture Capital Conference Such A Great Use Of Delegates' Time?

1300 global private equity attendees heard it first at SuperReturn International 2010!

  • Only the top speakers: Over 220 of the world's most influential private equity leaders came together for discussion and, at times, heated debate on the current position of the industry and future opportunties and challenges.
  •

  • John Mickelthwait, Editor-in-Chief of The Economist got the show going with entertaining and, at times very controversial comments about  the global economic and political outlook for the coming decade.
  •

  • The innovative e-networker, My SuperReturn International enabled attendees to view the full delegate list in advance of the event and allowed delegates to load their profiles, make introductions and set up meetings ahead of the conference. Delegates arranged a diary of meetings around the event to do business and maximise the value of every minute spent in Berlin.
  •

  • 16 funds put themselves forward for the delegate QuickFire Showcase, in which each had 90 seconds to pitch their fund, without the use of financial and performance data, to the SuperReturn audience and the expert LP panel who gave informal feedback and picked the winners. A variety of methods methods were used to attract attention, including free handouts to the judges and audience. This year fo the first time, the showcase volunteers were grouped into Emerging Managers, and Specialist Funds.
  •

  • The audience interactive polling session was a sell-out. The audience response was compared with that for similar questions asked at SuperInvestor in November, and demonstrated that industry sentiment had noticeably improved over those three months.
  •

  • The ever popular German Summit and Mid Market Summit brought together hundreds involved in these markets, and the new Secondaries Summit provided a single day bringing together the leading players who debated the challenges and reality of opportunities in the red hot market.
